What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name, company, and business type. When you add locations, we collect the addresses and coordinates of the places you choose to monitor, along with your notification preferences. We also keep a record of the alerts we've matched and sent to you.

How we use it

Your data is used for exactly one purpose: matching public signals, road closures, outages, events, weather, to the places you care about, and delivering those alerts to you in the app and by email (if you enable email). We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything unrelated to the service.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors to run CitySignal: Resend delivers our emails (they see your email address), and an AI provider (OpenAI) helps write plain-language summaries of public signals, it receives signal content and the nickname/type of a matched location, never your street address or email. Our servers are hosted on DigitalOcean in the United States.

Cookies

We use a single signed session cookie to keep you logged in. No analytics trackers, no third-party cookies.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data (locations, preferences, notification history), email hello@citysignalatl.com and we'll remove it within 30 days.

Changes & contact

If this policy changes materially, we'll note it here with a new date. Questions: hello@citysignalatl.com.
