Flash Flood Warning for Southwestern Cobb County in north central Georgia Northwestern Douglas County in north central Georgia Central Carroll County in northwestern Georgia Southeastern Paulding County in northwestern Georgia Until 115 PM EDT. At 721 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Douglasville, Carrollton, Dallas, Villa Rica, Powder Springs, Austell, Temple, Hiram, Mount Zion, Lithia Springs, Lake Val-Do-Mar, Winston, New Georgia, Bill Arp, Treasure Lake, Brownsville, Abilene, Lost Mountain Park and Due West.
